The Wolf GB08 has been a revolutionary car: the first CN2 challenger equipped with carbon fiber chassis, and the first one adopting the solution of the chassis not covered by the bodywork.
Now the time has come for a new model that will debut towards the end of 2015: the first car meeting FIA regulations that will enter into force from 1 January 2016 and that will be pushed by a 1.6 liters turbo charged engine. The new car will inherit the past of the Wolf GB08 – Honda, that since the victorious debut in the Italian Prototypes Championship of 25 April 2010, when it dominated the race after setting the fastest lap of the race and the pole position, collected 52 absolute wins, 48 pole position starts and 45 fastest laps, winning six titles (Italian Prototypes Championship 2010, Speed Euroseries 2011, Speed Euroseries 2012, CNV 2014 in Portugal , SCC 2014 in Germany and BELCAR 2015).
Giovanni Bellarosa ( Team Principal Wolf Racing Cars) :
“We waited the publication of the new FIA regulations to announce the arrival of the new Wolf challenger. The current GB08 – Honda proved to be an exceptional car, as showcased by the various wins on track. Now we are looking at the feature with the Wolf GB08 Turbo: it is going to be very different from the current car, but definitely not less innovative and I believe it will award us with the same satisfaction. We have been waiting for an important evolution for some time now, but the Wolf GB08 has always been very competitive and we decided to wait this regulations change to introduce all the new elements in one step only. As in the past, all Wolf GB08 will have the chance to be updated to the new model.”
